He undertook medical and surgical training within the London rotation and entered the London Cardiothoracic programme in 1995. He holds both Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) as well as Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons with a Cardiothoracic Specialist qualification (FRCS CTh)After completing placements at St George's, Harefield and The Middlesex Hospitals he spent a year at the Austin and Repatriation Hospital in Melbourne Australia training in total arterial coronary artery bypass surgery, off pump surgery and complex aortic surgery. Following this he was appointed as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at St George's in 2002.Mr Kanagasabay's practice covers the full range of adult Cardiac and Thoracic procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR and Aortic root surgery.
