Join SCTS Now
For those becoming a member of the SCTS for the first time or those renewing their SCTS membership (if it has lapsed for > 12 months), a joining fee that is equivalent to the annual category subscription will need to be paid, in addition to the current membership fee.
There is no administrative fee is applicable for those paying by direct debit. For all non-direct debit payments, there is an administrative charge of £20.

Applying for membership
Please note that the deadline for membership applications is February 14th each year.
You will need to complete an online application form which requests you to upload a recent curriculum vitae as well as provide the name and email address of a current member of the Society who is happy to propose your membership application. You will also be requested to pay the relevant joining fee (see above). Please note that if your membership is approved subject to ratification at the ABM, you will be requested to set up a direct debit for an annual subscription. Membership renewal

Membership Committee
Once your application is received by the SCTS office, it will be formally submitted to the Membership Committee. Once approved, your membership will be confirmed pending final ratification at the next Annual Business Meeting. The membership committee comprises the President, Honorary Secretary and chairs of each of the surgical sub-committees (cardiac, thoracic, congenital). Retiring?
If you are retiring from your NHS consultant post, you can still retain your membership of the Society at no charge by changing your status to Senior. This enables you to keep abreast of Society activities but without having to pay an annual subscription. If you are nearing retirement, please email Emma Piotrowski emma@scts.org to change your membership status.
