The Cardiothoracic unit at St George's Hospital is a specialist tertiary referral centre for all types of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. It was founded in its present form by Mr John Parker, Dr David Ward and Dr Charles Pumphrey in 1986. It serves a population of 3 million, covering a wide geographical area including South West London and surrounding areas of Surrey and Sussex.

Access

Limited pay and display car parking is available on site. Streets around the trust are pay and display only. Cars may pull up in front of the Cardiac Wing to drop off and pick up patients. Tooting Broadway tube station is a 5 minute walk.

Visiting hours

Ward visiting is 10.00-12.00 and 15.30-20.00 with a quiet time between 12.00 and 14.30. ITU free visiting hours except 13.00-15.00 quiet time
