Outpatient Visit

Normally you will have been investigated by a cardiologist for your heart condition and referred for a surgical opinion.

You will need to have a full consultation with your surgeon to ensure that heart surgery is in your best interest and that you understand the risks and benefits of the procedure.

Your surgeon will be happy to discuss your individual surgical needs and talk through the operation and post-operative recovery.

Once accepted for surgery, you will be offered a date to be admitted to hospital for surgery and a date for preoperative assessment.
