After completing his basic surgical training at Guy’s and St Thomas hospital, he started his training in cardiothoracic surgery within the London deanery. During his training he was awarded a clinical fellowship by the British Heart Foundation to complete a PhD at King’s College London. His research evolved around techniques in preserving heart muscle during congenital cardiac surgery. After completing his training and passing the board exams in 2011, he was awarded the Ethicon scholarship by the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons in the UK which provided the opportunity for him to go on a fellowship to Hong Kong. During the fellowship he gained experience in complex cardiac and minimal access surgery, which has paved the way for his current practice in London. He has been a consultant at King’s College Hospital since 2012 where he went on to build the minimal access program in cardiac surgery and the unit provides one of the largest and most diverse programs in the country. He is currently the clinical lead in cardiac surgery and his main aim is to build on what is already a world-class department.Qualifications & AccreditationsBSc (pathology MB BS PhD FRCS(C-Th) Adult Cardiac Surgery Thoracic Surgery This consultant has been a part of the following outcomes audits, please click on any outcomes audit to see their data: National Lung Cancer Audit - 2017 SCTS CommitteesThis consultant is or was a member of the following committees, click on any committee to see more information:CommitteeOfficeTerm of OfficeBoard of RepresentativesRepresentative2021-2024 Addresses This consultant has not added any addresses to their public profile.
