Specialist interests include minimally invasive surgery, VATS and robotic surgery, and thymectomy for myasthenia gravis.

He has a wide range of experience in thoracic surgery performing anatomical lung resections using both open, keyhole (VATS) and robotic techniques. Jeremy has developed a specialist practice in minimally invasive thymectomy surgery, performing thymectomies for thymomatous and non-thymomatous disease.

He is the clinic audit lead and robotic lead for thoracic surgery at St George's Hospital.

Jeremy teaches on various courses including the Royal College of Surgeons in England CCRISP (Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient) and the Royal College of Surgeons in England Student Surgical Skills, Cardiac Advanced Life Support and Royal Society of Medicine Anatomy Course.

He has published papers in peer reviewed medical journals and written chapters in text books, the majority of which are as first author. He reviews papers for publication regularly. He holds a PhD in surgical education focusing on simulation and assessment.

Training Attended

He completed his medical training at Nottingham University and entered higher surgical training in the London Deanery. He obtained BMBS BMedSci (Hons) DOHNS FRCS (CTh) PhD degrees during his training
