
SCTS has an established role in education within Cardiothoracic Specialty.
In recognition of the peculiar nature of training in Congenital Cardiac Surgery and the dedication of clinical fellows in providing service within the CHD Centres, the SCTS is supporting the organisation and attendance to the first dedicated Congenital Heart Surgery Hands-on Course.
Topic: Surgical techniques to address LVOTO (subaortic, aortic, supraortic stenosis)
Including Ross operation on piglets and pigs hearts
Preparation materials will be distributed ahead of the course
Attendees: CHD Clinical Fellows, Trust doctors and NTN
Fees: No fees to be paid for course attendance, accommodation for 1 night and meals: 1 supper, 1 breakfast 1 lunch and coffee breaks.
SCTS membership: Active Membership to SCTS is not required, but we encourage application
