About the unit

The Wolverhampton Heart and Lung Centre is a state-of -the-art, purpose-built unit that opened in October 2004. It provides surgical and cardiological treatment of cardiac and lung disease to a population of over 1.3 million in and around the Black Country.

Rehabilitation and follow up

Aftercare is provided through the surgical outpatient clinics, district nurses, GPs and ward visits as appropriate. Rehabilitation programmes are available in Wolverhampton as well as in each of the patients' local hospitals.

Access

The centre has a drop-off bay and a dedicated car park. There are several additional large car parks in the hospital grounds. Disabled parking spaces and wheelchair access are available.

Visiting hours

Scheduled visiting hours are 14:30 to 16:30 and 18:00 to 19:30.
