A Tribute to Christopher Lincoln
The Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain & Ireland is saddened by the news of the death of Mr Christopher Lincoln.
Mr Lincoln was a consultant heart surgeon at Royal Brompton Hospital with an international reputation as one of the leading surgeons of his time. Mr Lincoln received the SCTS Lifetime Achievement Award at the SCTS Annual Meeting Birmingham 2016.

Chris operated on my daughter Delia at the Brompton Hospital with Ian Aberdeen in 1967, the youngest child to have open heart surgery on bypass at the time, aged only 6 months. He took immense trouble with her postop cardiac arrests and other life threatening complications, never leaving her side through the night. He was a model for my own later practice. Dr Clive Quick
