Consultant Heart Surgeon at The National Health Service (1989 - Present)

Inderpaul Birdi trained in Medicine in the United Kingdom and has been a doctor in the National Health Service since 1989. He undertook a period of research at The Bristol Heart Institute during which time he contributed numerous publications to leading international journals. He trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the world acclaimed Papworth Hospital.

He is Lead Consultant, and Directorate Clinical Governance Chair at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. The Centre now has one of the largest mitral valve repair programs in the United Kingdom and offers an entirely bespoke minimally invasive program led by Inderpaul Birdi.
