REINFORCE

REINFORCE is a multi-centre, pan-specialty study, evaluating the introduction and scale-up of robot-assisted surgery (RAS) in the NHS. It aims to specifically assess the impact on service delivery, clinical effectiveness, budget and cost-effectiveness. Hospitals introducing or expanding their RAS programme are recruiting to the study, to compare the outcomes of RAS to conventional surgery, including complications and recovery. It also measures how RAS impacts the staff and surgeons, and wider hospital care.
