SCTS Education Website Development Lead


Vacancy

The SCTS Education Website Development Lead is a new post, and the appointee will be responsible for developing the SCTS Education website to complement the delivery of the SCTS Education Portfolio. The Website Development Lead will be a member of the SCTS Education Sub-committee and the Communications Sub-committee and accountable to the Education Secretaries and the Executive of the Society. The term of office is 3 years and may be extended up to 5 years.

The principle duties include:

  • Working with the SCTS Education administrator to align the website with the delivery of SCTS Education courses.
  • Coordination of course programs with course directors, faculty, and education administrators to showcase the delivery of recent and upcoming courses.
  • Coordination of course presentations with faculty and education administrators to link presentations where appropriate and with faculty permissions.
  • Highlight course feedback from the course directors, faculty and trainees.
  • Liaise with education administrator and industry to ensure sponsors are appropriately accredited on the website.
  • Working with National Tutors to develop an NTN Portfolio webpage(s).
  • Working with Trust Appointed Doctors (TAD) education leads to develop a TAD education webpage(s) mirroring that of the NTN portfolio.
  • Working with INSINC leads developing medical student pages regarding the INSINC Student engagement days and other work.
  • Working with NAHP leads to showcase the NAHP Education Portfolio.
  • Working with Transplant and Congenital leads to develop the Subspeciality Education Portfolio web pages.
  • Develop SCTS Education Podcasts and Webinars link pages.
  • Development of SCTS Education Post CCT Fellowships pages for unit applications.
  • Coordination with the National Online Cardiothoracic TPD.
  • Work with recipients of Fellowships to showcase available Industry and Charitable Fellowships.
  • Work with the SCTS Education Accreditation Lead to highlight the Implementation of course accreditation & approval process on the website.
  • Coordinating and promoting the SCTS Operative Video Prize and developing the SCTS Operative Video Library.
  • Coordinate website with partner organisations (EACTS, ESTS, ACCTAC, RCSEd) where appropriate.
  • Active membership of the SCTS Education sub-committee, including attendance at meetings and conference calls.
  • Active membership of the SCTS Communications sub-committee, including attendance at meetings and conference calls.
  • Working with and supporting the SCTS Education Secretaries and SCTS Website Lead to deliver the above.
  • Working with cardiac, thoracic, congenital and transplantation disciplines to coordinate and update education content linking to the relevant website areas.
