RIP Professor Domenico Pagano

The Society is saddened to learn about the passing of Professor Domenico Pagano, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at University Hospitals of Birmingham. 

Domenico was a respected leader in outcomes research and quality improvement in Cardiac surgery. He held a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998 and was awarded an SCTS Ionescu Travelling Scholarship for 2005-6. He served as the Secretary General of EACTS for 2017-20.

The Society sends its condolences to his partner and family, and his colleagues in Birmingham and EACTS.
