Dear Colleague,

You will have received Mr Ionescu's Valedictory message in the post.

It has been a wonderful 10 years of fruitful endeavours. It started with the Ionescu University Day at the Annual Meeting in Liverpool 2010. Since then the University day has become embedded in the annual programme including subsequent publication in the 'Perspectives' books. 

There have been over 150 Ionescu fellowships awarded enabling colleagues, and our specialty as a whole, to advance practice and education.

Mr Ionescu has been a most generous and supportive benefactor of SCTS and our specialty.

Thanks to his vision and support he has shown us what is possible. We will now look forward to building on his legacy, looking for other supporters for fellowships, for the University, for the publications and taking forward the example he has given us.
