Atrial Fibrillation carries a significant risk of stroke if left untreated due to the dvelopment of thrombus within the left atrial appendage. Dealing with this at the time of surgery has been the subject of debate and Enoch Akowuah discusses the findings of the recent LAAOS III Investigators with Ralph White and Reuben Jeganathan.
