Congratulations to Rosalie Magboo- Cardiovascular Nurse of the Year!

I am delighted to inform you that Rosalie Magboo, Senior Sister in Critical Care at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and SCTS Forum Research sub-committee member, has been awarded the prestigious British Journal of Nursing Cardiovascular Nurse of the Year accolade. This is for her work in developing a care bundle for the prevention of post-operative AF, developing a tool to predict cardiac surgery surgical site infection and developing the inaugural SCTS research day for the SCTS Forum (to be held on 9th May). Rosalie was also successful in securing funding for a PhD Fellowship to explore psychosocial effects of living with an aortovascular manifestation of Marfan Syndrome (MFS).

This is a tremendous achievement, especially due to the recent challenges to our professional lives over the last year.
