On the behalf of the National Surgical Skills Society, I would like to invite all surgical trainees of CT1/ST1 levels and above to our upcoming Thoracoscopic Skills Teaching Day on Thursday 29th September 2022. This is an afternoon course taking place at the Suture Centre in Suite 22, Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, North Humberside, HU16 5JQ. Our faculty for the day consists of Thoracic Surgeons from the Yorkshire Humber Deanery.
The team at ETHICON have kindly agreed to provide us with high quality lung models for use in our Thoracoscopic simulators. We are intending for delegates to perform a wedge resection and a flush resection as part of the programme as well as being able to practice basic VATS skills.
If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them.
You can book a place on our course by contacting Janine Peck (janine.peck1@nhs.net), but spaces are limited to ensure that delegates receive adequate time to practice exercises on the simulators.
Kind regards
Dr Francesca Leone
