SCTS statement on sexual misconduct

The SCTS position is clear: sexual misconduct has no place in our profession or elsewhere.

We condemn sexual misconduct in all its forms.

Such action causes lasting harm to the victims and undermines the values of trust, respect, and professionalism, which we uphold.

We support professional and public reports which make clear that there is no place for this behaviour, that silence must end and accountability is non-negotiable.

The SCTS is working to build a culture that is safe, inclusive, respectful and built on excellence, teamwork and outstanding patient care. A culture that reflects the very best of our profession and inspires the next generation.
