Programme
This 2-day course is supported by Ethicon and will be run at their new state of the art facility: Pinewood Campus.
Accommodations and meals included with course registration.
The course will review the adult cardiothoracic curriculum. It is aimed at Trust Appointed Doctors with at least one year of experience on a registrar-level cardiothoracic surgery rota (equivalent to NTN ST4 level) and is aligned with the current curriculum. The format will include small-group teaching, simulation and wet lab sessions.
Clinical scenarios will include:
- management of primary lung cancer
- pulmonary metastasectomy
- mesothelioma
- chest wall tumours
- pectus management
- lung volume reduction techniques
- coronary artery disease management
- valvular heart disease
- management of aortovascular disease
Techniques of segmentectomy, lobectomy sleeve resection, and heart valve techniques will be undertaken. Thoracic and Cardiac Critical Conditions will be reviewed. Cardiothoracic trauma and its management will also be discussed.

Delegate Terms and Conditions
You will be expected to arrange your own travel to and from the conference centre. If you are an SCTS member, please note a refundable deposit of £200 will be required when booking, which will be refunded upon attendance of the course and completion of the feedback form after the event.
