What is the SCTS Annual Meeting?
The Annual Meeting is an annual Conference which takes place over 3 days. The conference is aimed at the Cardiothoracic Surgery Community. There is an industry exhibition, key note talks from international speakers, hands on wetlab, abstract presentations and much more.
When does registration open and close?
Registration opens on 1st December 2022 and will stay open until the day of the event
My abstract has been accepted will it be published?
We are delighted to announce the new partnership with the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery. SCTS Annual meeting abstracts will be published in the journal as a supplement. The Abstracts of 2022 are already in the pipeline to be published.
Can I get discounted registration rates as a Member of SCTS?
Yes, SCTS Member are entitled to discounted registration fees. When registering please enter the email address associated with your membership email address and the discounted fees will show.
What are the opening and closing times of the Conference?

How much does a registration cost?
What does the registration fee include?
Registration fees give access to the SCTS Annual Meeting 2023.
Registration fees include access to the full conference. (Scientific sessions, lectures, abstract presentations, plenary and lunchbox sessions) Also access to the exhibition hall, access to welcoming reception and catering included. The registration fee does not include any extra social activities.
Up to 18 CPD points
Can I cancel my registration?
Yes you can cancel your registration. There will be a £5 admin charge if you wish to cancel your registration booking after 31st January 2023. Fees are non-refundable after 1st March 2023.
Is there parking at the venue?
The closest parking spaces are at the ICC sister venue Utilita Arena Birmingham (King Edward’s Road, B1 2AA). Mobile payments can be made upon arrival at the Arena car park via www.parkjockey.com/pay, quoting location code 5020.
Visitors arriving by car will need to be aware of Birmingham's Clean Air Zone. The ICC and associated visitor car parks are located within this area. Daily charges apply to vehicles entering the zone which do not comply with the zone's criteria. For further information, and to check if your car is Clean Air Zone compliant, please click here.

I am a Speaker. What do I do with my presentation?
You will need to submit your presentation prior to your talk at the Speaker Preview Room when you arrive at the venue.

Are there any social activities?
Sunday 19th March 17:00 - 19:00 Welcome reception in exhibition hall
Monday 20th March 19:30-01:00 SCTS Annual Dinner- Location: Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Burlington Arcade, 126 New Street, Birmingham B2 4JQ
Tickets: £75.00. Tickets will go on sale on 1st December and can be purchased when registering for the conference.
Ticket includes welcome drink, 3 course meal, wine and entertainment.
There will be no transport provided for this event.
Dresscode: Great Gatsby 1920s style.
Is there an App?

Do I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes, you will be emailed a link after the conference. You will need to take part in a short survey to receive your electronic certificate. The conference can earn delegates up to 18CPD points.
