Improving survival: how the ‘Lung cancer clinical outcomes publication’ is driving success

The 2018 Lung Cancer Clinical Outcomes Report, covering surgery for lung cancer in 2016, has been released today.  This is a collaborative project between the National Lung Cancer Audit and the SCTS.    The report shows another significant increase in surgical activity.  For the first time, minimal access lobectomy is the commonest operation performed for early lung cancer in the NHS.  Download the full report here.
