Course aimed at:
Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Surgical Care Practitioners, Operating Department Practitioners, Physiotherapist, Physician Associates and Foundation Doctors.
Course fees:
- SCTS Members = £30 for both Cardiac and Thoracic Days, or £20 for one day
- £60 per day for Non-SCTS members.
- Non-attendees will not be refunded.
Course sessions include:
Cardiac:
- Preoperative screening and optimisation
- Intra-operative positioning and management
- Aortic valve session
- IABG, EVH, ECG, ECHO
Thoracic:
- Pleural disease Pleural effusion, Chylothorax, Empyema
- Bullous emphysema, pneumothorax LVR, LVRS
- Chest drain management
- Ventilation / CPAP / NIV

Please note the fees for SCTS members are non-refundable. The fees are as follows:

- £20 for one of the days
For non-members, the registration fee will be £60 per day.
However, both registered members and non-members will receive a certificate of participation after successful attendance of the course and completion of the course feedback form which will be circulated
