ACSSC
ACSSC Meeting: 22/04/2026
Members: Hari Doshi (HD), Giovanni Mariscalco (GM)
Summary:
- 2 Core members post: Both of us agree that we have received 3 applications of which 2 are from same trust. Considering everything, we feel that we should extend our deadline for application by another 2 weeks and seek further applications. We also feel that we should encourage as many of our know enthusiastic colleagues to apply. If we don’t attract any more applicants, we may end up interviewing current 3 and see how it goes.
Nadia(NL) to extend the deadline date and re-advertise.
- RAMP application: I have had a chance to go through the paperwork for RAMP that Aman has circulated. There is a very good paper from Birmingham group regarding UK experience with Military casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan which I attach herewith. Using this, I have started preparing the slides you have sent. As you can see from this paper, most of injuries falls in to Thoracic area with very few major cardiac involvement required for Role 4 care. I feel that Thoracic input will be mandatory for before we can complete the questionnaire.
Aman Coonar (AC) to suggest Thoracic liaison member for the paper.
