 We would like to invite you to participate in this UK multicenter research study

Dear SCTS Members,

From the Aortic Surgery Services of Saint Bartholomew's Hospital and Hull University Teaching Hospitals, we would like to invite you to participate in the UK multicenter study:

      Quality of Life After Type A Aortic Dissection Surgery in The United Kingdom

This is a collaborative national audit which aims to investigate the Quality of Life after Type A Aortic Dissection Surgery in the United Kingdom. The project was started by Dr Brianda Ripoll, Cardiothoracic Trainee, supported by Aortic Surgery consultants Miss Ana López-Marco and Professor Aung Oo at Saint Bartholomew's Hospital, London, and Professor Mahmoud Loubani at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull. The study will aim to recruit as many centers as possible within the UK and Ireland. We also count with the support of the Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland Group.

Each participating center would be required to individually register for local audit approval. Once confirmation of audit approval is received, data collection would commence following the Research Protocol.

Each center should have a data collection team. We recommend a nominated consultant to be the local Principal investigator as well as a dedicated data collection team.

Both the local PI and the data collection team will be given collaborative authorship on all documents generated by this project (e.g. presentations, publications).A certificate of contribution to a national multicenter study will also be provided to those who require it.
