DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be sharing the programme for the upcoming joint RCSEng-NIHR Surgery Showcase, Celebration and Networking Event on Tuesday 16th November, to be held at the RCSEng offices in Lincolns Inn Fields.\n\nProgramme\n\nDuring these sessions, the corresponding speciality leads from each CRN region will come together along with the RCSEng SSL and other interested parties to review the current portfolio in their specialty, share learning and knowledge, plan upcoming activities and start to identify research gaps where further studies may be needed. This will be the first step in a new chapter of enhanced and properly national surgery specialty working and improved interaction between the NIHR and RCSEng research structures.\n\nIt will be great to be one of the first face-to-face events happening at the newly refurbished RCSEng offices, and to have such a strong line-up of speakers, including Lucy Chappell (who has taken over from Chris Whitty as Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department of Health and Social Care). We think it will make for a fantastic day.\n\n
