Ben Bridgewater is a consultant cardiac surgeon at UHSM. He has a particular interest in mitral valve repair, but is also on the cardiac transplantation rota. He has several national roles in measuring and reporting patient outcomes – he has a lead role for the national adult cardiac surgery audit as the audit lead at NICOR and he is the Director of Outcomes Publication at HQIP with a responsibility for the programme to publish outcomes across 12 specialties and 5,000 surgeons on behalf of NHS England.
