The task of the Working in Group is to Report on the provision of thoracic surgery in the UK and to make recommendations for the future. It is primarily concerned with the role of thoracic and cardiothoracic surgeons in the care of cancer.
The College has also developed a two-page checklist as a tool that aims to facilitate surgeons’ revalidation by providing a succinct summary of all requirements for surgical revalidation.
In collaboration with the surgical specialty associations, the surgical Royal Colleges have published guidance on the supporting information that surgeons will need to provide for appraisal and revalidation.
